Just an hour away from Tarragona is located the Ebro Delta Natural Park, a wonderful wetland where visitors can take pleasure in watching a great variety of animal species, particularly birds. This tour can be done by foot, on bike or on watercraft.

For those seeking family friendly hiking activities, a trip to Niu de l’àliga is a wonderful option to get to know the deepest parts of the Province of Tarragona. This small corner, located by the village of Alcover, is perfect for breaking away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

After walking through an easy-going path surrounded by nature, you are led to some water springs where hikers may take a splash. The itinerary is suitable for children as well as for adults, being an ideal place to have a picnic when the weather is pleasant.

The daring and adventurous will find in the Mussara mountains a great opportunity to prove their bravery. That’s because one of the best things to do in the Costa Daurada is discover nature through itineraries like the via ferratas.

Dare to climb the steep stone walls to reach spectacular views of all the Tarragona coast. Descend through narrow ravines or test your skills and prove you’re capable of reaching the highest point climbing and abseiling baptism.

Another place to see in the Costa Daurada is the Roc de Sant Gaietà, a peculiar neighbourhood in Roda de Berà that reveals a very peculiar architectural style. The combination of romantic, goth and islamic makes wandering through its pedestrian streets a delight.

The stroll is refreshing, allowing the sight of gardens similar to the Andalusian patios. Moreover, there’s also the Luis del Olmo Radio Museum and Cal Sisquet, one of the most world renowned ice-cream parlours.

Parc Samà, located in Cambrils, is a historical garden declared Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional (cultural property of national interest). It consists of a botanical garden created during the romanticism, harbouring a great diversity of plants as well as animals.

During the trip you can access different overlooks, one right in the centre of a gorgeous lake, visit an aviary or feed the fallow deer. It’s one of the best activities to do in the Costa Daurada with kids.

Aquópolis Costa Daurada is an aquatic park located in La Pineda, Vilaseca. It’s a fantastic option for those who seek activities to do in the Costa Daurada during summer, being barely a hundred metres away from the beachline.

The inside of the Aquópolis area is filled to the brim with a great diversity of water rides, such as high speed enclosed hydrotubes, slides on doughnut shaped floats, zip-lines and a wide variety for the children.

Another outing as spectacular as pleasant is the Route of Modernism in Reus. At the Baix Camp capital we can find a great variety of buildings from the end of the 19th century and beginnings of the 20th century. Among them, some from the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí.
